40 Years Toward 40 More

United Friends School was founded in 1984 by parents seeking an independent education for children. Since its founding, UFS has centered our work on the Quaker principles of care for one another, truthfulness, simplicity, community, and peaceful conflict resolution.

​As UFS grows, we remain bound by our founding principles and continue to make the commitment to not only support but also enrich the education of our United Friends School students. Students who attend UFS discover the power of experiential learning, learn how to solve issues in the community, and tap into a love of learning and discovery that lasts a lifetime. Students leave UFS with an understanding of what it means to see the Light in themselves and in others and are well prepared to stand apart through high school and beyond.
